It is with pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Sam Medalie.
I was first introduced to Sam several years ago. At that time, we were searching for a CFO.
We had an internal candidate we were considering but wanted to conduct a parallel search outside the firm to convince the partnership that we were hiring the best possible candidate. I subsequently met with several “top” search agencies. They outlined their project plan and cost structure. In the meanwhile, I received a phone call from Sam and I explained the situation.
Simply put, in the time the other firms were preparing their proposals, Sam had already sent me several viable candidates. He had already conducted research, screened, and interviewed candidates, each of whom were top-notch and met our success criteria very well. Further, they were well prepared in terms of understanding our position expectations and culture.
Our top two (and only) external candidates came from Sam.
Sam Medalie’s recruiting work was the finest effort I have ever experienced in such a short time frame. Sam is results-oriented, creative, resourceful, and a fine representative for any firm.
